Jenny Olivero

“A problem is just another puzzle and there’s always a solution.”

With a well-earned reputation for being “The Fixer,” Jenny Olivero has proven over the past two decades that seeing any problem as a puzzle will create the mindset necessary for guaranteed success.

Jenny earned her BS in Construction Science from Texas A&M University in 1996, which led to her successful 12-year career with Lennar Homes building single and multi-family projects.  During her tenure with Lennar Homes, she became the youngest division president in the company’s history where she earned her reputation for being “The Fixer.”

She turned around multiple housing projects in the greater Houston area, but her most notable turn-around was in the Greenville, SC division.  Greenville was operating at a $14MM Dollar loss when she arrived, but that was reduced to near-profit in the impressively short span of 18 months.  She was then sent to Denver, CO to make a similar turn-around of a $5MM Dollar loss.

During the recession of 2008, Jenny started and operated her own General Contracting company doing multiple commercial tenant finish improvements. She then pivoted back to the residential market and successfully fix-n-flipped over 30 homes in the CO and CA markets.

Although the market in 2008 was a difficult time for many business owners, and especially difficult for anyone starting a new business, Jenny was able to operate lean, find quality trades, and keep a steady backlog while operating at a 30%-50% gross margin on her projects.

According to her Blue Book marketing rep, this was a feat most of their clients were not able to accomplish and would continually ask her, “what are you doing differently?” Jenny’s response to that? “A problem is just another puzzle and there’s always a solution.” This philosophy remains today.

In 2019, Jenny relocated to California as she was made a superintendent by Swinerton Builders.  As superintendent, she oversaw a new construction ground-up, 15-story, 396-unit, multi-family high rise in San Francisco.

Because of her experience as an owner of her own company for over 15 years, her extensive background in construction, and her unique skills as a fixer,  she now consults for the Swinerton Management and Consulting division. Two of the projects she was requested to help turn around are for a bankrupt developer in San Jose and Fremont, CA whose 96-unit and 93-unit (respectively), mid-rise multifamily projects come with a long list of “puzzles.”

She is also consulting for a new construction ground-up, 185-unit, mid-rise multi-family project in San Ramon, CA. Additionally, Jenny currently owns and operates single and multifamily investments in CA, MO, and TX.
